Columbus
Department of Recreation & Parks
The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department offers a large variety
of programs for all ages and all interests. A variety of sports,
arts & activities, and workshops are available. Whether you are
interested in taking classes, participating in organized recreational
activities, exploring the great outdoors, or just relaxing you
can use your leisure time wisely at one of the many recreational
facilities and parks in Columbus.

Columbus Zoo

The world-famous Columbus Zoo & Aquarium is home to 650 species
of animals, picnic areas, a golf course, and famed director Jack
Hanna. The zoo features a variety of animal areas including the
African Forest, Manatee Coast, Herbivores/Carnivores, and Pachyderms
Franklin
Park Conservatory

Franklin Park Conservatory is a 28-acre botanical garden featuring
an ancient bonsai garden, beautiful orchid collections, a tropical
rain forest, and a Victorian palm house. In addition, the conservatory
features a variety of seasonal programming.

The
Ohio State Fair

The Ohio State Fair is the largest state fair in the nation. The
fair runs for three weeks each August and features a variety of
activities, entertainment, and competitions. In addition to the
annual fair, exhibits, sporting events, and entertainment shows
are held at the fair grounds year-round.
Ohio's Center of
Science & Industry (COSI)

COSI features exhibits of science, history, technology, health
and more. Visitors can peer into the human body, explore outer
space, and observe a game of rat basketball all in one day.
Whetstone Park of Roses

Whestone Park of Roses is a 13-acre park featuring over 11,000
rose bushes of more than 350 varieties. Something to tickle your
fancy and your nose!
Wyandot

Wyandot Lake is a water park that features water slides, a wave
pool and more. Several new rides, shows, and events are scheduled
each year. The park is open daily from May 29th thru August 25th.

The Drexel Theatre has two locations, in Bexley and Grandview,

Studio 35

Opened in 1938, Studio 35 is the oldest theater operating in Columbus, and certainly the
most unique. Studio 35 sells beer and pizza, and hosts the Rocky
Horror Picture Show on Saturdays.
