Lets go Scuba Diving!

Scuba diving is a form of underwater diving where the diver uses a self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (scuba) which is completely independent of surface supply, to breathe underwater.

Preparation is key when it comes to safe scuba diving.

When it comes to scuba diving, safety is very important. Most accidents that occur under water are due to poor planning and/or negligence. It is also very important to have a competent dive buddy. When diving with a buddy, you should always share your air consumption with each other and keep constant contact VIA the typical sign language. Another very important thing to make sure you keep track of, is how much water you drink. Dehydration is the number 1 reason for diving accidents.

As stated on the PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors):

The most common medical issues associated with scuba diving are sunburn, seasickness and dehydration (all of which are preventable).

My favorite location to dive is the Castor Wreck

South Florida has a lot of great dive spots. One of my top 3 favorite spots is the Castor Wreck. It is located off the Boynton Beach inlet at a depth of 90 feet.
